Hello, my name Hanz Hensler. I am a soldier in World War 1. I am 23 years old and living in Germany. I have a beautiful wife Gertrude, and a daughter Helga, she is only 2 years old. I went to Heidelberg High School. I had an awsome job in a factory untill the war started, then i decided i wanted to help my country. My country Germany is in a social democracy, and our nation is industrialized. We have imperial power and a strong government. There are alot of ethnic groups in our nation, and they don't really get along that well. I became a soldier to help my people defeat the triple entente. The war starts in a few days and im so excited to start fighting for my country.

Week one - December 8th. 1. When i was in high schoool my nation had alot of things against Great Britian and France. One little thing could spark a war. We were fighting over a country in Maraco, and there was lots of tention in Europe. We had a good military which made people mad. Then the archduke got assisinated and everything went bezerk. Austria- Hungry asked for help from our nation, and we desided to assisted them.
2. When the Archduke Franz Ferdinand was assassinated, Austria- Hungry asked for are help to defeat Great Britian, France, Serbia, and Russia. The terrorist group the serbs assisnated him, and when Austria- Hungry declared war, Russia and France came to there aid. Now my country is fighting with Austria- Hungry and Italy.
Week two - December 15th.
1. We were planning to use the sheflin plan to take over Russia, Great Britian and France. That didnt really work very well. So we have decided to take another approch. We are going to take our machine guns and attack the trenches. When the stupid Russians are asleep we will get them!
3. Yay! the russians exited the war. This is very good for us, because we were facing them. Now it will give us a better chance to attack Great Britian and France and potintially win!
Week three - December 25, Xmas Break!
Today was a very weird day, a good day, but weird. Me and my allies actually got along with our enimies. Our leaders were not very happy with us. I guess i can understand they do not want us associating with the people we will be killing tommarow. But still it's Christmas. I met a soldier from Russia today. His name was Sergio. He was a nice fellow. We played soccer, and ate some jam that his group gave us. It was yummy. I don't really wanna go back to fighting, but you have to do, what you have to do.
Week four - January 5th.
I am so mad! The stupid treaty of Versailles had blali camed this whole war on Germany. If the stupid serbs wouldnt have killed the Duke then we wouldnt be in this mess. We had to pay damages from the war, which would cost over 30 billion dollars. That would limit the size of our military. Luckily the war is over though. Alothough the allies launched an attack that forced us to fall back across Fance and Belgium its good that this is over with. My country sought and agreement to end fighting at 11a.m. on November 11, 1918. Good im so Happy i can go back to my family in Germany. They will be thrilled.
